Summary:
VancastVideo has some important entities which is worth knowing as they provide you a lot of useful functionality

What is an Event?

An Event is your VancastVideo project, which can be a single-day webinar or a multi-day Symposium or Congress. Events usually have a common topic or purpose and are divided into sessions.

What is a Session?

An event can have several Sessions: You can think of an event like a Symposium or Congress consisting of many sessions, in one or more rooms at a time, during one or several days; or maybe just a single-session online webinar. All these sessions are grouped within the same event.

What are Languages for?

An event can have several Languages. Consider a Congress with a simultaneous translation service that you also want to stream to audiences in multiple languages. Or a video you want to upload in several languages.

What are Access Links?

An Access Link is intended to allow a specific audience to access the event sessions; VancastVideo allows you to create different types of access links. You can also create many Access links for one event.

For example, an Open link solely for testing purposes, a link powered with a Registration gate to gather information from an invited audience or a secured SSO (Single-Sign-On) type link to provide access to an Intranet group.

When you define an access link, you automatically get a group of separate links per each combination of sessions and languages. All links within a group will share the security system setup. That means that users will not need to log in again for each session for instance.
