How to adjust the time of a group of cuepoints at once?

Summary: This article will explain the scenarios you may find that require you to move a set of cuepoints at once

Use Case

Say you've used VancastVideo Slides functionality and after your event was over you had to cut a slice of the recorded video and reupload the adjusted video for the on-demand version of the session.

In that case you might need to move all the cue points after the point where the video had to be cut, backwards the same time the video was cut.

To do so follow these steps:

  1. Convert your live session to OD using the actual recording.
  2. Change the video using the Replace Media button on the On-demand control section of the session
  3. Open the Fine Tuning Tool, and unfold the Bulk Actions section
  4. On the field From type the time the video was cut
Leave "remaining" to move all the cues until the end of the file
Chose "move cues and chapters" or only "move cues"
Type the number of seconds your video was cut at that point
Choose "backward" because the video was cut. (as opposed to having added a video to your originally recorded video during the live event
    Finally, click Apply
  5. Do not forget to Save changes as with any other operation on the Fine Tuning Tool
